Western Kentucky tops ETSU to advance to consolation Final of TCL VANCOUVER BASKETBALL SHOWCASE

The Lady Hilltoppers pull away late against the ETSU Buccaneers!

Vancouver, B.C. - Dee Givens and the Lady Hilltoppers finish of ETSU to roll to the TCL Vancouver Showcase consolation final.

Givens, who is the second leading scorer in the Conference USA with 19 points per game,  scored a game high 25 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 4 assist with 2 steals in 30 minutes of play in the Hilltoppers 82-62 win over East Tennessee State Friday afternoon.

ETSU guards Kaia Upton and Erica Haynes-Overton had a great showing for the Buccaneers with Upton putting up 14 points and 3 steals, Haynes-Overton added 15 points and 3 steals. Credit the Lady Buccaneers bench who made a run to bring cut the lead down to just 5 at the start of the fourth, outscoring WKU 27-14.

WKU found their niche with Raneem Elgedawy notching 17 points with 11 rebounds and guard Meral Abdelgawad also added 16 points and 3 steals to pull away down the home stretch of the game.
