Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Alumni Game, organized by Keith Nath, a Killarney Secondary grad, brought together athletes born in three different decades for a night of basketball, but more importantly a night of giving back. While one goal of the Alumni Game was to bring past teammates together, the primary goal was to raise funds for four scholarships going to Killarney Secondary School graduating students in their post-secondary pursuits. Through online donations and entry-to-play by donation the game was able to raise over $2000.

Keith put the call out to the Vancouver Basketball community and received interest from players (present and past) across Vancouver which allowed him to organize coordinate four teams, two alumni teams and two current/graduating athletes. The teams featured athletes from multiple Vancouver schools, putting current high school regular season opponents on the same team.

Keith, who now works with the Vancouver School Board to develop after school activities for vulnerable youth spent has spent 300+ hours volunteering in the Vancouver Secondary School Athletics Association. He said that “the purpose of this game was to bridge the gap in the community. I want to help connect people”.
