UBC punches ticket to Nationals

Vancouver, B.C. - In Game 3 of their best-of-three series, the #6 USports UBC Thunderbirds prevailed over the #5 Alberta Golden Bears. With this win, the UBC Thunderbirds would not only punch their ticket to the Canada West Final against the Calgary Dinos, but clinch a spot in the USports Final 8 National Championship. After dropping the opening game, UBC would win two in a row on the road in Edmonton, with the third game a final score 84-78.

The Thunderbirds are returning to the USports Final 8 for the first time since 2016 since hosting the USports Final 8 at Doug Mitchell Arena. The Thunderbirds will play the Calgary Dinos on March 2 in the Canada West Championship in Calgary.
