UBC Home Opener

UBC comes from behind to take down the Huskies at home.
October 27, 2018

War Memorial Gym, B.C. - The UBC Home Opener against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies did not disappoint. Huskies jumped out in front quick to start the game but a series of back to back buckets from Jadon Cohee and a monstrous dunk from Grant Shephard gave the UBC men a huge lift to storm back and bring the T-birds within 8 to close out the 1st.

Down most of the 2nd half the T-birds were looking for an answer to the Huskies well balanced scoring attack lead by Lawrence Moore Who ended with 30pts. It would have to be a collective comeback for the UBC men. In his debut, a hobbled Clair coming off a sore hamstring would ignite the run with four 3’s followed by a big 3rd quarter from Mason Bourcier and Grant Audu. It would be Jadon Cohee that lead the charge with 29. Final score 92-87 for the Thunderbirds.

With the electric crowed, the grit and cohesiveness of the T-Birds practically willed them to a great comeback win tonight at the opener. Look for the Men to carry the momentum onto the next game
