Vancouver, B.C. - Congratulations to the Team BC U15 Girls Provincial Team who won Gold at the National Championships this past weekend.
The U15 girls defeated Team Ontario 65-56 in the final in Fredericton, New Brunswick. In the final, Izzy Forsyth and Tara Wallack led Team BC with 13 points. At the half, it was Team Ontario who held a 32-18 lead, but Team BC did not give up and would score a number of baskets in the paint to charge back into the game on their way the come from behind National Championship victory.
The U17 Girls also had a successful tournament as they finished 3rd after defeating Team Alberta 65-62 in the bronze medal game. On the boys side the U17 Team finished 4th while the U15 Team finished 5th.
