SFU Women win a Thriller in Home Opener on Burnaby Mountain

Vancouver, British Columbia - The SFU Women’s Basketball team climbed back from a 7 point deficit at halftime to take the win at home in their 2019/2020 Home Opener. WWU had a strong game inside the paint and grabbing rebounds on both sides of the court but SFU stuck to their game plan and never lost control.

SFU tied the game and exchanged buckets with WWU all the way to the 4th quarter when Georgia Swant drained a 3-pointer that iced the game and guaranteed the Clan their first win at home.

Georgia Swant had a great home opener with 20 pts on a perfect 8/8 from the floor 3/3 from 3 pt line and she also drained the shot that decided the game and gave SFU WBB the victory.
