Vancouver, B.C. - The 2018/2019 PACWEST Basketball season promises for exciting games all year long. With the addition of the Okanagan College Coyotes to the PACWEST, seven teams will battle for the PACWEST Championship and a shot at National Championship Gold. Check out the early pre-season rankings leading into the opening weekend games this Friday and Saturday.


Men

1. Douglas College Royals

2. Vancouver Island University Mariners

3. Capilano University Blues

4. Camosun College Chargers

5. Langara College Falcons

6. Columbia Bible College Bearcats

7. Okanagan College Coyotes


Early Favourite:

The Douglas Royals are coming into the Season with the early #1 Ranking. Coming off an outstanding season where they accomplished a PACWEST Title and a Silver Medal at the National Championships the Royals will take the court with a reloaded roster looking to bring home National Gold.

VIU’s ‘Coach K’:

Never count out VIU with Matt Kuzminski leading from the Bench. Kuzminski led VIU to a National Championship in 2013, is a two-time CCAA Coach of the Year, two-time PACWEST Champion and is looking to bring the Mariners back to the top.
