Kitsilano Tops David Thompson for 4A City Title

High School

Kitsilano Tops David Thompson for 4A City Title

Vancouver, B.C. - In front of a raucus home crowd, the Kitsilano Blue Demons would be crowned Vancouver 4A City Champions. The home team had a massive student section and pulled out all the stops for introductions with strobe lights and student led announcers.

From the jump, Kitsilano came out firing on all cylinders jumping out to 10-0 lead. David Thompson would answer right back with a number of baskets inside to climb back in it. The mid-way through the first quarter the Blue Demons caught on absolute fire. They would knock down a number of long range shots and hardly missed from behind the arc resulting in a 20+ point lead after the first.

David Thompson would chip away at the lead all game, but in the end, couldn't overcome the early deficit. Kitsilano would take the City Championship with a final score of 101-81. Both teams will move on to the Lower Mainland Championships.
