Vancouver, B.C. - The short movie that could.  It’s been a whirlwind year since “Good Girls Don’t” first filmed last June and then quickly made its World Premiere that same December in the 2017 Whistler Film Festival.  Writer/Director (and force of nature) Ana De Lara won the prestigious Creative BC MPPIA Award in 2016 and quickly got busy making the short film about a young Filipino girl who dreams of playing in the NBA!

Since then, the film has been on tour through various festivals in California, Michigan, East Sussex, Yellowknife, Toronto and even London, England. “Good Girls Don’t” continues its festival tour at the St John’s Women’s Film Festival this weekend before returning to B.C. for one viewing before jetting off to Dallas, Texas for the Chicks on Flicks Festivals.

You can catch the short film here in Vancouver on November 3 at the Cineplex Odeon International Village theatre – keep your eye out for local basketball athletes as extras and keen viewers might even spot the South Burnaby Rebels jerseys. Get your tickets to the only Vancouver show on November 3 at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival.
