Vancouver, B.C. - In the 2019 2A BC Provincial Championship, the #1 Charles Hays Rainmakers would take on #7 George Elliot Coyotes. With a combined 1,831km distance between the two schools and the Langley Event Centre, the 2A Final showed the true support for the respective programs with both family and fans in the stands.
With Utah State Aggies (NCAA Div I) commit Liam McChesney leading the way, the Charles Hays Rainmakers would jump out to an early lead, a result of their blistering defense which was causing the George Elliot Coyotes problems to start the first quarter. Much would stay the same in the second quarter, but the Coyotes would fight their way back with their aggressive play being rewarded free throws. A Liam McChesney fast-break would stop that run and the Rainmakers would head to the locker rooms at the break with a 39-18 lead.
In the second half, Charles Hays would come out poised and focused with their eyes set on the Provincial Championship Trophy. The Rainmakers from Prince Rupert would not let up in their pursuit and would take the 2A British Columbia Provincial Championship. Final score 78-51.
