Vancouver, B.C. - After ending the first quarter 13-12 over Sir Charles Tupper, in the second quarter there were several lead changes between the two teams. Despite having a slow start, Burnaby South closed the first half with a 23-20 lead in the Junior Boy’s Finals game of the Big Ticket tournament. Rhys Maestre and Luke Tobias paced the Tigers keeping Tupper within reach throughout the half. Throughout the next two quarters the Rebels were able to push their lead to 13, 49-36. Jareb Pineda and teammate Jimmy Zaborriah lead the attack for Burnaby South, giving themselves a 21 point cushion to midway through the fourth. Down the final stretch of the fourth quarter it was a total team effort from the junior Rebels that ultimately led to the 68-47 Big Ticket Championship win!
